Default Escort Rs Turbo Setup

Hey there im new on here, bought an escort rs turbo last week, had it on the rollers monday and was a good and bad news:

the good- 159bhp at the fly and 130 at wheels
175 lb/ft of torques
only running at 10psi on a hybrid t2/t3 i think!
the bad- Its running seriously rich hence the fuel consumption i suppose under full boost goes to 10.3 when it should be closer to 14.7?

Just wondering two things, do i have to adjust the actuator arm to be shorter or longer for more boost?
Also where is a good place to have it setup to run the higher boost near south wales?

Hope you guys can help!!

hi ya people, i wonder if any of you can help me, i've got a series2 rs and just went again after 2mths for an MOT, when i first took it after being on the ramp for about 20mins it started to blow out smoke from the exhaust and you could smell the petrol. So as we all thought overfuelling but when trying to get it back home it started poppin/banging i couldn't even put my foot down. Now i had the car booked in again today and YET again got about 1/2mile up the road and started the same symtoms. I checked the sparkplugs on thursday and they were black so they got changed, i aint checked them yet but can anyone help

Was it black smoke? It's most likely the yellow water temp sensor at back of the inlet manifold if so

Hi ya phil69a, thanks for your reply mate and yes it is black smoke, as i had just cleaned/polished the car and even polished the tailpipe so was gleaming and then when it started to play up i got it back home to properly look at it the exhaust was black conciquently black pi**ing smoke. my last turbo s2 it was very light grey smoke on a good run so i knew somethings gone wrong some where. nice one i'll look at that tuesday and let ya know.
