Just wondered if anybody can shed any light on a problem im having. When i drive my car under load e.g 30mph in forth and let speed build up occasionally it sounds like the clutch is slipping. (revs sound like they go up then drop back down again) But the car still speeds up. If i let off and put my foot down again it wont do it.

When i eventually got it to do it again, I had a look at my boost gauge and it seems to drop boost. The car has recently been in for a new ported and polished had and has had a full setup. Has anybody had this before.

Any help would be much appricated.

 

i would say it is the clutch if your revs raise an drop again, the boost may be explained by the engine not bein under so much load as the clutch slips, just a guess tho

 

sounds like the clutch how longs it been in the car what boost you running

 

its just rolling roaded @ 188bhp runing 16 psi and holding 14psi. The clutch is an organic ap was fitted about 18 month ago. Havent used the car much though as it only gets used in the good weather

 

sometimes the release bearing sticks if they've been sat for a while i was told, then the clutch gets ripped apart in a short space of time...

or so i was told.
