chassis stamp
hi all bought a s2 few weeks ago and the chap who had it before me just welded little plates every where on to it and has also welded over the stamp by the driver seat chassis number is there anyone who will sort this for me if i put a new floor in and they stamp or can anyone here do it the car is all legit been checked by hpi about 4 times rang my pal to do a check on it through a place he works at all clear got loads of paper work with it just need this doing as once its done will be a nice clean s2 all help will be much appreciated

sorry mate but dodgy ones come up HPI clear.
you are better off just putting in a floor and leaving it blank if you think the car is legit as you will have nothing to worry about, but i have my doughts

had this my self spoke to evans halshaw at preston they put me onto there body shop and they said fit the new floors and they will restamp them aslong as you have a vin plate and v5 present not sure what it looks like though as never got it done in the end but i had a new vin plate made by ford that looked different to the original but they said they can only do new ones to the standerd they use today plus they do apolice cheak aswell for vin plates also i have seen this discussion on here a few times and some people will say that ford stamping a new floor is bollox but i have heard it with my own ears
