Default Megasquirt help needed on my RST

Hi all,
I've recently treated my self to a brand new Meqasquirt II ecu, including the v3.0pcb board and an LC-1 wideband, new set of injectors, a coil pack and the 36-1 crank pulley.

during the conversion everything looked like its going to be a walk in the park, but no. after the conversion we wanted to fire up the car (using a base map that i got from some mateshere in pf Thanks again!)
we looked over the megatune and all sensor look good except the RPM!
and because the ecu doesn't recognize the RPM signal the car cant start since the ecu won't tell the injectors and coil to fire up...
we looked for shorts or mistakes on the board or loom but cant figure out what's wrong ! all looks good.
my guess in something wrong with the Megatune configuration but cant figure out what...

any help would be welcome,
thanks a lot
