When I come out on a morning and start the car from cold the rev counter doesn't work, the lights are dim and the heater fan is a lot slower than it should be. If I rev the car to 3k rpm once, everything works as it should. Anyone know whats up? If I just start the car and don't rev it and leave it to idle for 20 mins then turn it off it won't start due to the battery being flat!!! but if I start it, then rev it to 3k everything's ok?
i have exactly the same problem. it drives me nuts cos i cant find out what it is. you'll find once it cuts out though if you bump start it and turn it off straight away then it will start fine again and again, mine doesn't seem to be the battery. i thought starter solenoid too. but i dont know. i recently redid all my earths and that made no difference.
if you find out what it is please please tell me what it is
