Finishing putting my freshly build 1650 in the car tomorrow but everyones telling me a different oil to put in it.
I had 10-40 Magnatec in it before but it did go bang
Does anyone no the right stuff?

i have bin told to use by the opieoil website
silkolene pro s 5w 40
or
motul 300v 5w 40
fully synthetic of cors around £45 for 5 litres
and mines runnin nearly 200bhp

yup, use a mineral based oil for running in, and then when run in after roughly 1k, its on to either the suggested oils above, or lots tend to prefer the mobil 1 motorsport 15w50

run it in on cheap mineral oil, then fully synthetic silkolene pro s 5w-40 or mobil one motorsport, personally i use silkolene pro s after years of using mobil one, car seems to prefer silkolene
