Engine feels like its rocking to and throw on acceleration...
I have vibratechnics gearbox mounts the road ones not the solid ones and when they where 1st fitted the car felt lovely when i booted it and and eased off the throttle now they been on there for a while they feel as though they may have worked there way loose or something. When i accelerate its ok but if i back off it feels like the engine rocks forward. Any ideas what it could be? I was thinkin about getting the solid mounts to see if they help but been told they are to harsh for a road car. The engine mount is quite new but is a standard ford item can i buy an upratted one?
Thanks
Steve.

Try and rock your engine backwards and forwards by hand, if it moves more than a couple of mm with no force then you've done a mount in.
Other ways to try are to get a pry bar inbetween the mounts and give them a bit of force see if anything moves more than it should.
Or get a mate to sit with the engine running and keep letting the clutch up to biting point while you look at the mounts, see if there is excessive movement.
Hope this helps
