ive got a s2 running efi using the xr3i ofac loom ect, the problem is the car wont run properly when the map sensor is conected, ive cut the no 2 wire at the edis and fitted a frst ofac map sensor but just miss fires when its conected?????????????

hi mate i brought a frst ofac map sensor off here but maybe it could be faulty??

 

you need to find out if it is defo off a frst whats it shaped like

mate just had this problem with his onion turbo,run like shite with the map connected thn when u took it off it was ok, the map was a std fezzie one
i would say tht is ur problem!

 

i thought the map sensor and ecu were in pairs so u cudnt run a map sensor from an unmatched ecu?

 

thanks chaps going to try another map sensor anybody got an ofac sensor??

im nt sure if it needs to be matched to the ecu mate i thought as long as its ofac and nt ofab it will work??

 

Out of interest, how big is your miss fire? Engine shaker, trying to stall?

 

it will sit there idleing but like its running on three cylinders and then when you rev it she cuts out mate
