Default Slack Cambelt

As title, I have just noticed my cambelt is pretty slack, as in it can be pushed in a fair amount by hand.... thats not good right?

Now this to me could explain an issue i have been suffering from, i think. Would a loose/slack belt create a poor ignition start, as in it keys over for ages and then actually starts? Also, and for the time being, a simple tighten up of the adjuster would sort it, yea?

I will replace asap tho as I know what damage can happen if it snaps!

If it had jumped a tooth, wouldnt it mess up the idle and such like tho?

I'll grab a spanner later and give it a tighten anyway....
