assuming we talking as if the clocks were to be fitted to a 1.3 ohv engined base spec, the rs rev counter wont work, even with the link to the coil, it will over-read terribly.

from memory havin read up on doing it on mine years ago, its either a massive wiring job, or judgin by a similar thread in the technical room, u need to source the clocks from a 1.3 eclipse model

alright mate its ross here

prev comment was right - you ideally need to source Eclipse clocks, dont ask me why, must be summat to do with them being used with the 1.3 ignition system - i found this out by accident years ago and used them ever since - drying up a bit now though

was told the 1.3 stuff dont run to well on a zetec?
its pretty easy to wire in,easiest way is to get some clocks plus the blue and white connectors,u can transfer wire for wire, thn run a wire for rev counter,

cheers for that mate

so i need to get the connectors that go to the back of the clocks from an rs turbo loom?

A friend of mine has the same setup in a xr2 and the rev counter reads half the actual revs but the revcounter can be adjusted so il give it a go!

Cheers
