Mk3/Mk4 door difference??

Mk3/Mk4 door difference??
Could someone please tell me the difference in the two? As i have a pair of mint mk4 doors to go on my 1982 mk3 xr3,, Are the outer doorskins the same ie swage lines etc...Sorry for being thick! cheers people

i'm not 100% certain but i think they are the same, metal handles and glass colour differ but IIRC the skins are the same

Insides are different, mk4 door cards need modifying to fit on mk3 doors and vice versa, handle fixing locations i think are different.

yup, this is what i was led to believe also, all about the interior handle fixings/positioning

need to mod the interior handle holes to suit bigger for mk4 smaller for mk3

hinges are different aswell mk4 ones yoy can take the door of by removeing the centre pin the mk3 one you need to unbolt them in the car
