Your tps should not stop your car from starting. It is to tell the ecu the throttle position for fueling. An example is when your foot is planted it can supply the calculations to the ecu. Please correct me if im wrong. You can adjust the tps by undoing the 2 screws and turn it untill it clicks. If you turn it and it still wont click then use a junior hack saw and make the hole into endless slots. this will allow for further adjustmant. It worked on mine.

Mate It needs to be clicking for your car to start. When me and a mate changed my engine early this year in my rst took us 3 days banging our heads togeather why it wouldant start. ended up being tps wasnt clicking adjusted it started clicking and great fired up 1st time. If its not clicking you wont get any fuel to your injecters only to your cold start valve.

first of all check to see u have a spark and fuel getting to the engine, do you have a spark at the plugs if not how about at the coil? also is there fuel getting to the metering unit if so then check to see if its getting to the injectors, can you hear the fuel pump prime when you switch the ignition on?
