fuel pump question?
hi all, was wondering if i could get some help with my s2. its been a bugger to start for a while now and i think its a fuel pump/relay problem. if i bridge the relay it will start after a bit of cranking, but the fuel pump is making really wierd noises, if i try to rev her she dies almost like the pumps not getting enough fuel to the engine? any ideas. cheers

if you have bridged the pink relay on terminals 30 and 87 i believe then that will mean the relay is telling the pump to be on as soon as your ingnition is turned.
This leads to the fuel pump making funny noises... what sort of noises is it making mate? Sounds like a very simple question but does your car have enough fuel in the tank? If so then it sounds like it could be time for a new pump. If it didnt prime before your bridged the terminal then a new relay could also be on the shopping list
