The thinner standard bar is 22mm and many 1.6 Escorts including the S2 have a 24mm. Don't know what you mean with the 20/21 mm?
The S1 (18mm) and RS1600i (around 20-24 and tubular) antiroll bars are a different thing as they have separate reaction bars.

My mistake as your answers might be considered as very reliable, can they be fitted with modifications to be done, the rs 1600i ones ,that is?
Or can Eibach provide me with a thicker one?
thx m8

As the S1 and RS1600i were mk3 Escorts, these are bolt-on upgrades to other mk3 Escort and mk1 Orions. I'm running the S1 setup myself in my mk1. I've heard that these setups can be made to fit the S2, but it's not plug'n'play. These setups are better because of their better wheel positioning and adjustability, but the anti-roll bar is not any beefier. I've never heard of any place stocking uprated antiroll bars to mk4 Escorts, but these can be tailor made. I was quated for 125 € for a 18mm rear anti-roll bar in a local spring manufacturing company. The front one can't be much more.
Eibach don't make anything for S1/S2.
