The oil passes through the oil gallery into the filter, it then leaves the filter into the second gallery which feeds the mains then the big ends. This seconday gallery has a vertical feed which rises up at the rear of the block where it meets the oil gallery i the head.
This gallery feeds the main bearings of the cam and ultimatley the lifters in the head. The feed for theses can be found in the lifter bores and run directly from the bearing feeds!
