Default RS Turbo Cooling System?

Ive already posted further down but had no responses, im doing an MK5 ERST conversion and ive got a bit lost on the cooling, bottom pipe from pump goes to rad and bottom of header, from rad outlet to thermostat and turbo inlet, from turbo outlet to left side of rad, where do the heater hoses goto/cone from, i know its somthing to do with the back of the head? any info will be good Cheers. pete

the pipe that comes from the left hand side of rad to pump/header goes round the back also, onto a Y piece if i rember rightly, that goes to the left hand heater matrix hose and the other bit of the Y piece goes to the idle speed control valve i think, heres a pi to sorta explain



i'd need to take a look but too dark if i remember tommoz i'll get a pic for you

i "think" the one that coems out the heater matrix goes to the block, for water cooled oil thing, bit the oil filter goes on. thats a guess btw lol

Yeah, thats what i though, im new to the turbo scene, used to have twin 45s on a 1.9 tall block, it was quite good seeing as is pulled right from 2k upto 7k with no flats and the power delivery was smooth but the fuel economy 8 miles to the gallon when booting it isnt the best thing to travel to shows ect with so ive gone the turbo route which isnt as easy at tweeking a few screws like the carbs were, im taking pics of the project stripped out, caged and bucket seated MK5 Rally SL** so ill post em up soon, thanks for your help mate, if you have a look tommorow for me just to confirm what you "Think" lol, cheers. pete

lol i will do mate, car sounds a beast i should know aswell cos i put my engine in myself and came up against this prob, didnt know their was a small plastic Y piece but worked it out
