and massive thanks for the assumption that im somehow poor because i dont have forged pistons already, seeing as back in the day i bought these cast items when they cost as much as forged do now

if you insist on insulting me n the things i do son, at least do a bit of research, i aint no cheapskate, just didnt wana buy another set of pistons if mine could be used. maybe i will go buy some forged items, seeing as im willing to spend 100quid+ on mere nuts and bolts from ford, i wudnt class myself as a tight arse

phil, im just gonna leave it for the time being n get the shell built up, then make a final decision. might even look into the decompression plate copper headgasket option, who knows

IMO with the falling price of forged pistons i'd buy a set, you dont wanna have to get a rebuild, plus you'd prob be good money for standard pistons now anyway
but if you want 20 psi on std pistons buy water injection worked on my car

Why do you want to lower the compression? You could use standard pistons and run 20psi no problems.

I know 3 CVH's that do! And probably many more.
