Default mfi chatters!!!!

had new stage 2 turbo and 31 actuator out on and set up, i took dump valve as it is gay,
and my car chatters when you give it some

It will be a wee hint of chatter sound, nothing like the real sound you get without the metering head.

Mine chattered a bit more than you'd expect for an mfi car,std boost and std turbo, think the turbo had a bit of play in it which may of helped

My zvh chatterd a bit on mfi @ 1 bar but nothing like now it's on EFI @ 1.5 bar :P

wrong im afraid

it's actually the turbine stalling when the throtle closes as the boost has nowhere to go so stalls the turbine.

my old mfi used to chatter then dump thru the dump valve with a stage 3 hybrid on it

the dump valve was ok the start off with but got annoying for me i still got it so might put it back on in the future.

How can I get a wastegate chatter on my MFI Escort RS turbo S2??

Maybe I need a MFI TO EFI conversion.......................???

I like this sound better than the "psssssssssss" of dump valve.

if you want loud chatter you will need to dump the metering unit which means changing management

Read the above posts mate!!
It isnt wastegate chatter, its the sound of the turbo stalling as pressure builds back up to the compressor blades, a dump valve eliminates this (well depending on your boost pressure) so if you want chatter the easiest thing to do is remove your dump valve and be runing above standard boost.

I have chatter on 1 bar (averything else standard) but only if I take out airfilter. So I dont do this.

I hear before few weeks sound of my mate corrado turbo, he was parked in garage, so he rev it at about 2000 rpm and had loud chatter.

someone here told that have standard boost and chatter on mfi. how?

maybe metering flap get "soft" ? So have little play , and let noise out. I dont have idea...
