my passenger side door does not always lock, it always unlocks,
all connections are good so that is not the problem. has any one
else had this problem with there series 1 or 2.
i think it could be the solenoid.
open to suggestions

Same probs here.
Think its the actual lock. When you turn the key, the passenger door cant lock & gets confused, so opens up the drivers side. Well thats whats up wiv mine anyway.

Mine done exactly the same thing and i changed the solenoid. Since then the passenger door doesn't respond at all to the driver's door even though the boot works fine and it was a new solenoid so i just gave up

 

S1 and S2 systems are so different you can't compare them. With the S1, start by finding the central locking module in the front foot-well and clean and inspect all the connections.

use the alarm fob, i will try it with key and see
what happens.

clean the earths up in footwell drivers side. i had same problem none of mine was workin and behind the door rubber 2 wires were split id check behind both rubbers just pull them back and check what they like
