Default FUEL PUMP BRACKET

RESTORING UNDERNEATH OF MY S2 RST AT THE MOMENT.AND I CANT GET THE FUEL BRACKET(S) OFF TO PAINT UP.
BOTH THE BOLTS SPIN WHILE TRYING TO REMOVE THE PLATE BRACKET CLOSEST TO CAR.
ALSO WITH THE OTHER BRACKET WHILE TURNING THE 3 BOLTS I HAVE BROKE THE RUBBER TUBES NR THE ACTUAL PUMP.
HOW DO I GET BOLTS OFF?AND WHAT PARTS DO I NEED TO ORDER FROM FORD TO GET THIS JOB DONE.

sounds like you will have to cut them off like i had to,one of the bolts goes up into the boot floor which is stuck down and looks like a washer, the big bracket you can buy from fords with the new mount rubbers in it already the other 2 parts of the bracket i powder coated as they were alright, the 3 little rubbers are still avaliable to,and so are the bolts which go to the body, they list a couple of lenghts but i just ordered the lot,all the other nuts, bolts i got in stainless, hope this helps, sorry no part numbers i cant find the receipt.

you need to cut both bolts i think i slid the hacksaw blade in the top of the rubber mount then cut both off the boot one then will be fecked a you need a new one from ford and it will need painting the other one any bolt long enough with two nuts is ok

the new boot bit can be seen top left of bolts in pic, get a new pump mount plate at ford when you there, think it was 25 notes

Why not just get one of these stainless jobbies which also look for 55 sheets?

Still trying to remove my original one I had the idea of cutting one of the bolt heads off and trying to knock it through....hmmm maybe not!

How can I get in there to get at the font bolt that sits up in between where the rear wishbones join! can't get fook all on it! The back one shouldn't be a prob as that whole bit in the boot has to come out....

Any idea's?

i got hold of bolt with mole grips and wriggled it making the hole its in bigger,if you do this for a while the bolt just pulls out.when you put in new bolt all you need is a washer.
worked for me

Well, what I needed (or "think" i needed so bought anyway )

1 x mount as bodge has pictured at the top

1 x bootwell plug again as pictured by bodge

3 x the rubber moun things, as you say dont come with the nuts it seems...

3 x nuts, assume these are for the rubber mounts, not sure yet

That's all i needed as I have the other mounts from AS which look cool, I will take a pic when it is all assembled again

the nuts you need can be go for halfords they do an asortment (spelling) of nuts in a box and the small ones are what you need, the rest come in handy aswell

make sure do dont just tighten the nut up as i think the rubber will twist and snap, you need a spanner each side to tighten against each other, you will see what i mean when you come to do it
