had my series 2 set up on rollers, well after they put in new helix paddle clutch. been told my frount mounted intercooler has a hole in it! why this is my first s2. all money eh!!!!!
well yea i always wanted a s2 done the restoration anyway just the engine side of it now . my bollock was hangin off anyway... it has been kicked again!!!
spent a small fortune on mine when i first got her just replacing tired parts. but now i have a mint reliable s2~(there is light at the end of the tunnel)crack on
love mine, just don't cut corners.. my engine was done by a really good builder, my management was done by a really good management specialist none of which was bargain basement cheep.

lol same here i get one thing sorted, about a day later something else comes up no matter how much money i throw at it. by the time i have changed every last part on it i bet the new parts i had on first will be fucked
just don't cut corners do everything right and you do not have major issues.. when I did my engine i used the very best parts I could afford, when I did my management I could have used a second hand loom but did not and got a new braided loom.
If you make do, or go cheep... it will eventually show
i collect the car from jamsport on monday night after having a new helix paddle clutch, metering head, and set up on rollers so i will now have mint rs. ill let you know the power figures
My S1 lay off the road for 3 years...and all I ever had to do when I put it on the road was a couple of wheel bearings that were prolly already gone when I got it, and a rocker stud that pulled out the head...and the usual service stuff...kicked its hole for over a year and it never let me down
