![Question](https://passionford.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
The fuelling of my S2 seems to have played up. The car overfuels and stalls so badly that it is undrivable. Got the components of the KE-Jetronic checked from a mate and his pal who is into old VW GTIs and we are nearly 100% sure it has to do with the metering head. Luckily I was able to source a brand new one that also came with the air flow sensor. The problem I now have is that the two new parts are from the S1 and the fuel lines to the fuel regulator doesn't fit. I could now try to get these two fuel lines from an S1 so I can connect the fuel regulator. But somehow I now wonder if there are more differences which can't be seen at first sight and if could run into trouble using the S1 parts?

one has a plastic bottom and one has metal bottom...think the S1 is metal....it's said the S1 m/h is better, why I dont know? dont know of any other differences.

the reason the fuel lines dont fit, is on the S1 the fuel accumalator is by the tank, and on the S2 in the engine bay.
Have u checked the AFR and then tried adjsuting the fuel pressure? You are going to HAVE to do this with the new stuff fitted, and it could well not be needed.

Here's a picture of the old and new parts. I've searched this forum and every S1 I came across had the fuel pressure regulator at the same position as the S2. As you can see the connections that go to the regulator are not at the same positions![Neutral](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_neutral.gif)
It seems that everytime the car overfuels the sparkplug of cyl no. 2 get's flooded. The other ones are fine.
