Default A basic setup

hi all,
Im have just put a rs turbo engine in my cabriolet. I want to set the timing correct as much as i can before i go to a tuner miles away. The car is running at 1 bar of boost and the timing is currently set at 16 degrees advance is this too much advance? What is your timing figures? As what i have read up on the more boost you put in the less advance you need is this correct? The engine is standard with the usuall exhaust,filter,-31 actuator and castle performance chip.

thankyou

Only Castle can answer you as it depends on the chip.

I think 12 degrees would be a safer starting point though, but you should get it checked by a tuner.
