Help please
Bought a RS Turbo converted cabriolet the other day for a project and it ran on 3 for a bit but now i cant get it started......
I'm new to RS's and aint got the first clue about any of it.
Looking under the bonnet i found these pipes and not sure where they are meant to go or what they are for, any help is much appricated.
Many thanks in advance, Steve

lol is that a dodgy dump valve or sumit...oh dear ....best thing to do is put it all bk 2 standard then go from there ..replace that hole boost pipe it probaly leaks all over /....put a fuckin filter on it aswell..

That dump valve is off a cosworth, recirc type and someone has it venting to atmos (not a prob to do that)
anyway, take out that metal T piece that has the long thing hose on and connect the boost hose direct onto the crossover pipe that runs over the rocker cover.
so basically eliminate the d/v for now
then ontop of the inlet manifold their are 2 small vacuum ports, makesure each have a hose onto them (right hand goes to ECU) and left hand to breather.
the hose with the bolt in it looks like its from the amal valve, dont worry about that for the moment
make sure their are NO holes whatesoever on the boost hoses or breather hoses as this causes an airleak and the car wont start!
try and clean the float on the metering head (the bit where their is a leaf sitting ontop of (u don want anything other than air going in there) spray WD40 on a rag and wipe it clean on the flap and around where it should seal.
see how you get on then
if not, get someone to hold the flap down 4 or 5 mm while your cranking it over!
still if not
check for a spark if it still wont go, checking for fuel at injectors is a little more tricky either u need to bridge the relay to make the pump run constantly or you need 2 people
