Ive managed to borrow / blag some 17's to try
I'm not 100% that it is dropped 60mm (40 on rear) but it is close but i think still looks OK
and only rubs at full lock

Thats cheating - anything will look cool on a 3 door estate.

If I wer u i would try and get your hands on a set of cossie wheels ther dear enough but worth every penny.. ive 205/45 on the front and 225/45 on the back. sticks to the road like shit to a blanket now and looks the mutts nuts !!

dont you find they stick out waaaaay to far ?
this is just my TDI powered daily car / van / camper etc ! so dont really want to spend too much on it

had 205 40 17 on my old rs turbo 60mm drop.its fine if u have uprated adjustable dampers to stop the car going down too much.also need correct offset mate

the wheels in the pic are ET40
i have taken it for a good blast around the lanes where i live and it didn't rub or catch once other than on full lock , but only 1 side are fitted due to only having 3 !
it has uprated shocks (front only at moment but rear waiting to be fitted) but they arent adjustable as i got fleeced over on ebay with them

Another pic with 7x17 alloys (40mm offset), 25mm lowered and fully loaded with camping gear.
Standard arches and rear discs, only rubbed on big dips on the road

Wel iv a wide arch kit on mine so i had to get 2.5" wheel spacers.. does the job tho. looks cool.

my onion is dropped 60 mm plus a coil lopped off on spax adjustables,handles and rides perfect!!
205/40/17s std ford 40 offset,no scrubbage!!
