i wouldnt let a piper or kent near my engine, the quality is really awfull, well it was a few years ago, not sure if they use better blanks.

newman use good quality blanks as far as i know.

not sure if you will see that much benefit, the standard cam is good for around 200hp or so

There is nothing at all wrong with either PIPER or KENT, they are both excelelnt quality.
The piper 285T profile gets some rave reveiws, most cams are killed by not being bedded in correctly, I alywas use REGRINDS, never ever blanks.

just taken a kent cvh35 out of my escort, was brilliant for around 10mins! seriously though, it lasted less than 12months, was fucked after about 3000miles. iv just put the original back in, not too much difference mate.

rubbish, the quality is poor, agreed the profile of the 285T is good and would probably have one in mine if would last more than 12 months!!

if you care for your engine why would you fit a shit cam?

they are only more hard wearing if you 'work harden' them properly when running in.
