Ive had my series 2 now for 3 years and had 2 series ones before that.

Ive spent an absolute fortune on her and im beginning to think if its worth spending anymore or just taking a step up the ladder to a 2wd cosworth ?

Thing is do i sell as she is and take a megga loss or do i go through the hassle of breaking my pride and joy, for which will get me a lot more to front the cosworth



which ever way i will be gutted

To many people are doing this and making a quick buck. To me its always seemed REALLY odd to spend years building a car with all the love blood, sweat and cost and then be happy to see it cut up and spread all over the country and gone forever!

Only car I ever did it to was my 3dr but that was a bastard machine from day one and deserved it totally! Bastid fast tho!

 

Lets say you spend Ł4000 on the car and then spend another Ł8000 on it.

Are you going to get Ł12000 back

You will get Ł4 - 5000 for it.

Break it and make your cash back.

 

but you never get the money you spend on your cars back, its the price you pay for the enjoyment you get from building and driving them. if you break it, there will be just one more less mk4
when was the last time you saw a rs or xr mk4 in a scrapyard? its been a while since our ones had one! they are all going FAST! Keep it!!!

as above mate we all feel like that sometime car`s do my head in i was feeling the same about my s1 but glad i changed my mind now.but if you do break it what box is in it;-]

Mixed opinions then....

Thing is ive takin it as far as i can go, i always wanted a feature but its getting a lil bit scabby hear and there so idealy i could do with a re spray

But is it worth spending another 2grand on it ????

if the answers yes... spray it. you loose money at some point if your attempting to minimize that you failed when you bought it, enjoy the car if you like it.

fook breaking it put it back to standard sell the zvh engine and performance parts separate

 

dont break it that is one off my favourite s2 rs turbos on here

 

wouldnt ever break another car again.

what i would do though is put standard stuff back on it and sell the whole car.

you will get plenty of money for the modded stuff and you can have a little pride in seeing the car live on and someone else enjoying it!!

 

Break it and sell me your shell so I don`t have to break mine!!
