Look like rear parcel shelf speaker wires which run down the left hand side of the car and access into the boot area behind the seat. A plug from the parcel shelf with the o.e. speakers on then connects to it.

Used to be on MK3 XR3 models, RS Turbos and poss. some others.

They are taped up into the central locking loom as that piece of loom goes to the tailgate.

You run the whole lot down the left side of the car, over the near-side rear arch. The plug for the speakers will pop through a cutout on the left-hand parcel shelf support (bottom wherei t meets the boot trim) and then the central locking loom should go up to the roof where it goes through into the tailgate aperture.

It will not affect the alarm in the slightest as it is only routed with the central locking wires, and is not in any way physically connected into that system.

You are over-complicating matters.

Ignore the speaker loom, in fact, if you are fitting remote central locking, ignore all the wires.

On a MK3 Escort, you need to add a remote locking solenoid to the drivers door locking pin (bit that moves up and down in the doorcard) as the drivers door is a master and has no locking motor of its own (it uses the owner turning the lock to actuate the other locks).

You wire in the "slave" motor you fit into the drivers door depending on your alarm instructions for an "additional motor". Only then will you have the locking working correctly.

If you try to tap into any of the original car wires for the locking, you will lock the passenger door and the tailgate only.
