I've got one on the desk in front of me. Its a quality piece of kit too. Just waiting for my car coming back from the sparkies to fit it.

Do you ever get through to shields in your car?

I have fitted mine a couple of days ago. Tried it the other day.

Was a straight swap for me because I already had the Mk5 pedal modification. Just took the plastic bugger out and the alloy one in, done!

Now I can drive around with the confidence that the quadrant won't snap!!!

DON'T!!!!
I've broken 2 of those damn things within 3000 miles. And of course it always happens when you're not expecting it. After the first time I wouldn't leave with the car without a spare one in the glove compartment.
If your willing to pay the cash for a clutch like that, pay some more and get a decent quadrant which won't break and leaving you without a clutch at the side of the road.

It isn't expensive at all so order one......

Sick!!

Spent a 45 mins today in a scrappy stripping the pedel box out of a Mk5 escort. Won in the end with battered knuckles and chucked it in the boot.

Finally got round to stripping it 30mins ago and realised I've fucked up! The pedal hasn't got the height adjusting bolt, its the auto adjusting one. Haven't told Red16 yet...... I'm sure he'll call me a daft C*@t.

Does somebody has pics of the snaped plastic one's. Is it maby the problem of the way removing the last bit. You have to cut off a little pice don't you? Maybe the way of doing that is the problem? I have the plastic one now!

anyone got any pics of the metal one?

Ive seen and helped fit R6Franky's to his clutch pedal but havent got any pics, for those of you thinking about wether its worth it, all i can say is its a quality piece of machining and it certainly wont break His car should be on the road in the next 7 days or so feedback will begin then.

Just can't believe that the forces are so high that that BIG plactic thing will break. Looks like it snapped on the place were cutted off the last piece of. If you would rond it off a little more it will have more strength and won't break??? So the last piece that you cut away turn away from the middle under angle.
I wonder if it's still clear, if it's not let me know i post up a pic

the adjustable bolt on the mk 5 pedal loacates just below that part hence it breaking as theres not alot of plastic there to give strenght mate once the section has been cut away, for the price of the alloy one it makes no sense really anyone trying to find a solution so the plastic crap can be used.

You could try that. But I wonder if there's enough room to round it because the adjusting bolt contacts the quadrant just at that point.
That's also the reason why there is so much strain on the whole damn plastic thing.....

I agree, the alloy one is a quality piece and so far I'm using it without any problems. Isn't too expensive either!
