Default cooling problems

i have a 2.1zvh rst but it seems to be running quite hot. Its defo not the head gasket. It still has the standard rad and fan on there so should i get a set of slimline kenlowe fans and put them onto the standard rad, or invest in an ally rad with twin fans? any thoughts would be good.

Alloy will not cool any better, infact in my experience they are worse. IMO, standard rad, twin fans and an 82° Thermostat will be the best and most cost-effective combination.

as above a ally one wont make much if any difference, ur best bet is to fit a 82 thermostat take out ur rad and fully flush it through to make sure there is no crap or blockages anywhere then fill with a 50/50 water & anti freeze mix

try uppiong your fuel pressure if possible - i dropped around 5'c when i upped my fuel pressure by 0.2 bar as my expansion bottle would overflow at idle if left long enough
i have an adjustable fpr with a guage which makes life easier and an 12" fan in place of the standard job
