you try getting one from fords, they charged me 45 quid, and the box and part number was right, but the part is totally different, differnet multiplug fitting, and the sensor bit is totally different.

The one in the bottom pic is correct. What it does is, when you turn the ignition on, the pump primes, and the thermo time switch tells the cold start valve to open and spray fuel down the inlet manifold, so there is fuel in the combustion chamber ready to ignite when you spin the car over, if this is gone, the cold start valve won't open and the car won't start unless you press the throttle right down.
