Good post doing the same thing myself!
My tuner says I can use any injector (so long as it's electronic!), but yeah where do you get the fitting for the metering head?

Default 5th injector

When i had mine a while back i got a bloke at a company called custom hose and fittings to make me a hose from fuel filter to metering unit with a hose that came off of that basically had three ends if that makes sense ? I then got a grey injector and a special fitting from burton performance, it worked a treat. Hope that helps

Let us know what Matt Lewis comes back with!
Did you get your controller from Demon Tweaks? Thats where mine came from (Ł180), pikey bastards dont tell you that a pressure switch is not included in the controller and then want another Ł60 for one!!
IMO a 5th injector controller should have a pressure swith built in, not much use without it, no trigger!!! Way over priced for what it is, i'm thining of making one myself and knocking them out on ebay for half that price including a built in pressure switch/trigger.

don't use a pressure switch. It should be a mappable MF2 unit, with a map sensor for full 3d mapping.

Yeah i spoke to motorsport development they do not do them anymore, (even though they are still on their website!!), which is a shame becaue they did have a built in adjustable pressure switch and were only Ł125!

Whats wrong with a pressure switch?
Doesnt it just need to switch the injector on at a certain boost pressure, for a ceratin duration, to enrich the mixture? This is set by the tuner on the RR.
This is what it my tuner told me and also what it says on the MD website.

Karlos

Really?? So in addition to the MF2 i would just need the injector, and fittings yeah?
Maybe i'll just sell the Demon tweaks unit!

I have an old set of cossie blue injectors, same size/fittings as a grey 403 but not good for as much hp....still able to fuel equivalent of 62bhp more (based on what it produces on a cossie).

I doubt your adding 50+bhp with a 5th injector so if anyone wants one theyre all working fine and i'll split the set if 2 people ask for one..

ive got the mf2 unit and it does work pretty well only prob is that it now replaces my cold start valve on my metering head so can be dodgy starting on cold mornings. although ive just had a new bottom end put in so there will be teething probs.lol

looks like a std cossie yellow - could swap it fo anything u like. i'd get it snapped up. i've mapped a few of these and they totally transform mfi, as you can have a nice lean cruise, engine uses less oil, doesn't wear etc.

I wouldn't bother you would be better running the engine in and then get it converted to efi management over the winter months. Save yourself a bit of money.

Tbh honest mate my new house build is costing a little bit more than expected ..so the EFI conversion might have to wait hence ..getting a 5th fitted and running in and then once ran it ..let Rick map it ..as he likes 5th injectors

If your MFI is in good order that should provide enough fuel for running in boost levels surely?
But if you must go 5th then either will work fine mate.

i use to run an erl mf2 5th injector unit with a yellow injector on my zvh , I got it the hole lot minus the injector from erl direct it was complete kit with wiring and the pressure switch worked well made 286bhp at 320 foot pound @ 1.5bar on the mfi with obviously various other bits altho getting the fuel distribution correct to all 4 cylinders was an issue , you could run 6 injectors from an erl unit , iff fitted in the crossover pipe your better off running to at different angles .!
altho the only erl web site I can see now is retirement villages (funny how the internet targets you )
