People paying £200 for 2nd hand discs and pads have to remember that come renewal time its going to cost them about £400 lol and being 2nd hand that time will come round quick.

2 piece rotors are only half of that price to replace

Save a quid today by doing it all all second hand, but boy will it bite you hard in the future

New stuff lasts twice as long and the on going costs are roughly half lol

I got some calipers kinda cheap from a very nice man. New disc & pads can be had for £150 if you go cheapo, or £200 for branded stuff, & the cost of the brackets, should make for a pretty cheap coversion & everything bar the calipers will be new

Price is keen for brand new disc/bell set up, would love to go 2 piece but just cant stretch to it at the moment as a resto is just starting

right here is a quick pic of the brackets i designed for twins escort.

i'm still waiting for full prices from myy cnc shop, but due any time soon.

the flat ones above worry me slightly , sue to the number of pieces involved and the nut and bolt arrangement.

theres lots of parts to vibrate loose and we are talkign about front brakes here, you want to know they are up to the job. the bolts above dont even look like proper HT ones. i hope you are using a lot of loctite on those!

Looked at the going rates for a Hi Spec kit and thought I could have a go at beating that using a proper Brembo caliper So I figured a £250 saving for the first few might just help some people out

May be in touch Dan, but I'll see you next month anyway ??

Those bolts pictured were only used for mock up.I used proper bolts for final assembly. Also with ZOO MOTORSPORT brackets you have to shave a bit of the caliper to get them to fit.

Not ideal, but Zoo were the only place that were making these brackets.
THORPEYS are better ,but he couldn,t supply them when i needed them.
To be honest, big brakes are overkill unless your running big power. Most people will have them justfor the looks.

If you get stuck with prices nthorpey and have good drawings stuff like that is coming off the machines here everyday in HE30 spec alloy. Looks like a proper designed bracket for the job

Tony, I need to get my arse into gear and sort my brakes for the sunny.

LOL

I wanna run a pedal box though! Is there much difference between the 6pot and 4pot Compbrakes in price?

Also, I take it the 6pots fit under a 16" rim?

Only about £200 on average Rad.

The 6 pot he's had under 15's so 16's should be ok depending on offest.

Tony,i've got quotes coming for HE30 grade with steel thread inserts, should be any moment.

What software does your comapny use/accept as i can convert my model to this format and send it to you for quotes as it may be cheaper?

can anyone also confirm the step height from caliper to hub? i belive this is different from mk3 fiesta to mk3/4 escort and maybe an easy adaption for other designs.

many thanks

Well we had a 330 x 28mm 2 piece rotor and bell with the Monster Porsche/Ferrari Brembo caliper sat under a std offset 17" wheel ok today

And a 350mm x 32mm sat under an 18" wheel if anyone is daft enough to run them Brackets were only rough cut for a trial fit so no pictures were taken yet but it looks like it all works

right, been a busy weekend!

basically need a min of 10 pairs to make it worth doing.

They would probably be at most £100 per pair, hard anodized in black, unless everyone would prefer another colour.

maybe cheaper ??? i should have exact price within 24hours

all enquires to nickythorpe@btinternet.com

Have you had 6 pots fit under a 15 Tony?

If so what wheel was it and what size disc?
