I would take them out and build a false floor in the back and carpet it.always a good excuse for not taking passengers in the back.

I'm with Cliff on this if it's a bufty show cage. You don't have to be doing anything wrong to find yourself upside down. My brother knows this all to well when he was hit in the side and flipped over.

personally i dont a fuck who your with, davie was asking he if should leave seats in or out not cage,if youve no positive input on the post then dont post,is there any facts behind these cages being a danger or is it just not pf tuv approved,i mean how many people have actully died with these cages being the cause, would be minimal im sure, prob more poeple died with leaving empty ginger bottles on floor or something on the back shelf
saying that these cages are a danger if it flips, well that would depend on the scenario, not just sayin if you flip it your dead,if it bothers you that much then take your complaint to the manufacturers

I have got positive input, don't fit a potentially dangerous show cage. How much more valid positive input would you like?

The bufty cage danger has been raised and discussed on this very forum many times and the general consensus by those that know about roll cages is they are potentially dangerous in an accident whether you're flipped over or not.

I'm not saying all bufty cages are shit and dangerous but without knowing who made it I wouldn't be happy advising it be fitted.

So you are swearing and throwing your teddies out of the pram because we feel the need to tell a fellow ford enthusiast that we think in our opinion that he would be better off with a real cage in for his own safety.

I can imagine that being Scottish is not nice; but can you take it out on your parents. Not us

Depending on the cage you choose, it could add weight.

Yes the seats are out, but some cages weigh more than the seats!

potential? so its not actually dangerous built has potential to be dangerous,as i said many people have actauly died with the cage being the cause,is it only dangerous if you flip?,what about if you hit a tree side on?,whats the outcome then? would it protect side impact?or maybe should we not plant trees as they are potentially dangerous in a crash, come on,theres potential dangers everyday in life

if safetys an issue then driving a mk4 escort is not exactly safety personified is it,so fitting a proper cage with all the bars is that really safer if you could potentially hit your head of it in a crash or you gonna tell us we need to drive about wearing helmets now, davie does arund 2-3k miles a year to shows, not trackdays, not used a daily runner just shows so why go to all the trouble to fit a fuck off roll cage for something that may never happen, for safety? well surely stayin in is safer if your wantin safety

being scottish is the best ever mate, everyone loves the scots, anywhere we go we are loved by everyone, can you say the same

Loved everywhere you go. That must be for your sense of humour of which you are displaying above

Just so that you know on here. We use the smilie to say things in jest, have a little joke, add a little light hearted humour

I have served with 3 Scottish regiments of which I have immensly enjoyed. So I know what Scottish people are like

Fair enough he doesn't do many miles etc but the cage is still dangerous. Fact.

You'd be better off not having it in the car if you have an accident as it could split and hurt someone in the car.

If Davie were my friend I would be concerned for his safety.
But it seems apparent that your advice is about as good as your grammar, spelling and punctuation
