Quick head question

Is there any difference between the head of a late xr2 and a s2 mfi head. Im not talking about the internal bits, just the head itself.

Please help, the thermostat bolt theads are fooked and i need this back on the road by mon

depends if the heads got harder valve seats to run unleaded petrol, also have to remove the inlet studs, and use the proper RS ones, as the Xr ones are not long enough
