idle problem
had a problem with mine a few weeks back, idling around 2-2500rpm. if you've checked all the obvious things like air leaks, throttle cable sticking, choke etc... there is a brass looking screw on the underside of the inlet manifold, this can be turned to either speed up or slow down the idle speed. hope this helps!
Get rpms down, start at 4000 or 5000 rpm is very bad for engine . see for air leaks, check CO at idle, throttle cable, see screw under inlet mainfold (screw have spring, regulate idle by turning screw) tuning this screw inside you will have lower rpm at idle. Dont just let it go and have idle at 5000 this will kill your engine
Ifits still on standard MFI then an air leak would not cause high idle infact it may not even idle at all.
I would start by looking at the throttle. Is there free play in the cable? Is the throttle against its stop screw when closed?

ye its standard mfi jus drivin along one day an it jus started accelerating an now jus idles very high, i checked all the above apart from the screw under inlet mainfold, ill try check that tomorrow thanks for the help.
