i need a efi escort engine loom but someone said they come as a complete loom, car loom inc? cheers

no its all built in 1 loom mate

 

oh bugger, is it as easy to wire into an escort as a fiesta loom if i cut engine loom out as im guessing it only has a few wires?

 

i thought they had a couple big plugs near bulk head right side of manifold?

 

thats what i was unsure of as a fiesta loom does, does a mk5 cvh efi loom unplug if not?

 

i changed an engine on a 16v efi last week and that had them

 

i thought the 16 would but think i need an 8v loom for zetec turbo or am i wrong? cheers

mk5 efi 2 part loom

 

so if i get mk5 cvh efi is that 2 part?

 

i got a mk4 efi 1 that plugs near the in let and in other places like a zetec 1

as this is all that plugs up on a mk4 efi

the ecu plug etc are built into main loom

fiesta engine loom, is seperate from car loom, but injector loom is the same as mk4 efi

 

want an entire engine loom like fiesta but looks asthough il have to extend my loom. ive had mixed feedback as to weva a mk5 loom disconnects?

 

I stripped an Efi escort today for the loom as i want to convert my ERST to Efi. The internal loom is all part of the engine bay loom as well. It joins to the injector/sensor loom in the sam way that an FRST engine loom joins. The interior/engine bay loom needs a couple of connectors moving on the ecu, then you can just plug the FRST ecu to the escort interior loom.

 

so just have to pin out a couple of wire, i.e lives etc and can wire it in?

 

Yeah, pretty much, think there is a how to somewhere, might be on Fiestaturbo.com. IIRC its the same wires need moving as if you were turboing an Xr2i, the efi escort uses the same ecu as the xr2i so that would make sense.

 

just about to say that

if you get a full efi loom for a mk4

fiesta ecu will plug straight up

now depending on which ecu u have, ofac or ofab

ofac uses the same style map sensor plug as std efi mk4

ofab uses a map sensor like a cossie

if you go ofab you need to wire in the connector for the map sensor and the supressor for the map sensor, these are only found in a fiesta ofab loom

other than that its just match tepins up from a escort to a fiesta

the one i converted a few years ago, didnt need any pins changing over, but some do
