Default No boost!!!

posting this for a mate as hes still in the stoneage

his RS recently just stopped boosting cant heere the turbo spooling up at all the boost gauge just reads vaccum then 0

he recently fitted a new -31 actuator set at 5psi if it helps

Probably the actuator rod has become detached from the wastegate.

thats what i thought but the exhaust was too bloody hot to look

anything else...

Have had this happen to me some time ago, one mint running 16 psi the next no boost!!! The actuator rod had gone limp, after a lot of messing about, removed the turbo,removed the elbow and the pipit valve was no longer on the end of the arm!!!
It must have gone down and out of the exhaust

Hope the is not you problem

i put a reply up about something similiar for someone.
ive seen the wasthgate plate thats inside the turbo crack so it leaks. ive also seen them where they have shatted completey and like flashpoint said disappeared down the zorst

will check the rod asap

the reason it was running 5psi was cause we couldnt pull the arm out any further it really needs a setup anyhow

come to think of it is it the longer the arm more boost or shorter

The shorter the arm the more boost you will get

Oh come on geeza!!!!!! Shorten the damn thing! I aint surprised that you aint getting any boost with the rod being as long as your arm!
