Default T3 turbo from metro?

Hey guys, originally posted in fiesta section, this is the more relevant section for this question!

Hi guys, when i bought my fiesta engine it came with a T3 and it looked very different from the T3's on the escorts, i have found this one on ebay that looks exactly the same.

This turbo bolts straight onto the Escort rs exhaust manifold.
It has the same A/F ratio .42 or .46 or something similar, is this completely different than the T3 on the escorts??
I hope its ok as ive already made the exhaust and boost hoses for it.
Please only tell me good news! lol
Regards, Mudge

The problem you'll face is that the turbo may not be up to much in terms of power and when you later on decide to upgrade it your pipework will stop you being able to use normal T3 upgrades.

Hey, ah thats going to be a poblem, arent all T3's the same size? Wouldnt they all have the same size compressor and turbine diameters? If the turbo is any bigger i'm going to have to fit a tubuler manifold and redo part of the exhaust etc.
crap!

T3 just relates to the shape of the flange where it bolts to the manifold

it has a 0.25 a/r rear housing. Will be very punchy, will do around 190hp. Use the RST exhaust housing with this and it'll give u somre more...

so will this turbo i have come on strong or will it be a boring gradual feel? If you have a turbo you really want it to come on boost and punch you in the back! thats the only reason i love turbo'd cars. Will b well dissapointed if it doesnt do that! Will it have more of a characteristic of a T2? The whole turbo is physically bigger in size than the T2 so will it flow more air?

Will probably be very lively, but lack top end power. Will probably be well over and done with before the standard rev limit.
