Hey peeps!
Can anyone offer any advice on where to get a decent standard RS turbo cam from? Do ford still sell them?
I have tried a couple of second hand ones and they have all been as bad as the original one! I dont really want to go for an aftermarket cam, as I would be happy with the car making 160-180 bhp.
Car just feels flat and unresponsive once on boost
Basic spec. is standard engine / head / turbo / Intercooler. Magnex exhaust, K & N Filter, -31, chipped ECU, spikes at 18 psi holds 16 psi.
Car was rolling roaded and only made 136 bhp, the dyno operator stated that the cam wear was to blame for the low power output.
Any advice would be great

Cheers for the replies
I know most motor factors would either stock or be able to get a cam kit, I really wanted to know if there was any manufacturer that was better than the others
The fueling / cam timing and ignition timing was checked at the rolling road and found to be good!
Out of the three cams I have tried, they all look really worn, particulaly at the distributer end!
Thanks again

then this is your problem. The motorfactor cams are all made in the same factory, they are good quality. Expect to pay Ł90 max for cam and followers.
