Default Just blew up an anti pump up camshaft follower

Strange night tonight...

My car has just been rebuild with all brand new parts and I've been driving it 1800 miles now. Its an Escort RS Turbo 89 that has been converted to EFI.

I was doing 150 miles when I lost power and needed to stop. It seemed like the engine was running on 3 cylinders and it made a lot of noise.
At home I camcover and saw that a camshaft follower was broken in atleast 3 pieces. I bought this brand new at burton with the article number CV203S, but I just checked and they are not for sale anymore.
Is this because they are shit?
What shall I do...change the one or change all eight of them? Use other camshaft followers?

specs:
Kent 35
Head is flowed
Castrol 10w60
15 psi
beige injectors
chipped
water injection
large frontmount intercooler
turbo cooler
oil cooler
(radiator)
bonnet lifters
lots of coolers and still running hot, but thats another subject..

So you've fitted a set of Kent anti pumps?

Was the cam new aswell? Total mileage on the cam?

If there is no wear on the cam, then try a new set of std lifters. You're better off replacing the cam and followers though...

No i just wondered i thought it was Kent came up with the Anti Pump idea, but i stand corrected.

In any case Rick has pretty much taken the words out of my mouth.......if i were you i would put a complete set of standard lifters in. You could just change the one but chances are another one of the others would fail anyway.

But on an 1800 mile cam i personally would think it'd be fine just to fit a new set if lifters
