feedback port on external wg

ive fitted a needle valve to my ex wg as advertised in our local tuning mags to my escort
fitting instructions show that the bleed after the needle valve should be fed into the bay and allowed to blow freely
so do i plumb the bleed to atmosphere or do i return it to the top of my ex wg into the feedback port?
