HI ALL .. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNEW IF THE RUMOUR WAS TRUE THAT YOU CAN NOW BUY A NEW MK4 ESCORT SHELL .. A LOCAL BODY SHOP TOLD ME A COMPANY WAS DOING THEM AGAIN , I HAVE LOOKED ON THE NET AND IN MOTORING NEWS ETC , CAN ANYONE HELP ???

Doubt it very much mate. A reproduction shell ? Nah. May be a few original untouched ones about but they'd fetch a premium. Can't see anyone remanufacturing them.

I would have thought there would have been more money in doing 3 Door, Escort Cossie or even Series 1 reproduction shells than Mk4 shells and these would be produced before a Mk4 if at all

 

go back and ask em what they were on about, people wont just lie for no reason and its always worth an ask, it may come from some1 who knows something, may be chinese whispers but it may land you a left over stored shell, theres nowt to lose

shudnt just call someone a liar off the cuff, always ask more


i heard a similar thing and it actually ended up that some1 knew some1 who bought a brand new mk2 fiesta shell with a view to remanufacturing 70's panels and kits but it still lead to a new shell - which he wanted 2k for but even still

 

Well, I think about all the panels are still available, so why not make a complete shell out of them?

 

THERE WAS SOME A FEW (3/4 YEARS AGO BUT LIMITED TO THE UK AND FROM FORD -NO MORE THOUGH--AND THEY WAS ONLY A FEW AT THAT.
