Hi guys,

Just a bit of advice really, got some new samcos water and ancilliary set and want to do it tomorrow or Tues but not sure how to drain the rad...

Take the bottom hose of the rad and empty it.
Change over the hoses
Fill the water back up (how much water/anti-freeze?
How do I bleed it... Take top hose off thermostat and run
car with cap off header tank - what will I be looking for

Sorry for prob stupid questions.

1st - Take the bottom hose of the rad and empty it. OK
2nd - Change over the hoses. OK -> Clean the rad with preassured water, inside and outside.
3th - Fill the water back up -> Totally full of WATER, with some rad cleaner mixture.
4th - Start the engine, keep it runing about 15mins with the car stopped.
5th - Take the botton hose of the rad and empty it. (Wait for the water cold down)
6th - Refill with anti-freeze fully, again with some rad cleaner mixture.
7th - Start the engine, keep it runing since the fan stops two times.
8th - Refill with more anti-freeze if needed.

That´s the way i go...

let it out and fill it back up 50/50

put the coolant in 1st

give it a really good wash out if its all rusty water but if its been looked after it'll be nice and clean

could catch the coolant and resuse if its new but for the cost may aswell save the hassle

system will self bleed

fill it, run it up after a few mins recheck

then recheck again after a bit of a drive

keep the old hoses, worth getting some shiney new jublees while your doin it tho
