Temperature Gauge in this pic lads ? Why has it gone pass the Red ? The is not even running

more than likely a dodgy connection check the plug/ o ring connection on the temp sender unit on the front right of the head near the thermostat housing

Cheers fella i have just put new thermostat in aswell and that plug did look Dodgy do you think i should get newone ? If so will i have to cut the wires for it to fit the newone

Its earthed out somewhere on the wire to the sensor

same happened to me while driving! shit myself when i looked down and saw it!

my turned out to be the sender unit was tossed. cheap to replace but be careful when you remove the old one, as mine was brittle as doom and snapped in the head!

as long as it reads as it should when igntion is on, then dont worry. There is no power to it otherwise, it has a mind of its own.
