Default mfi-efi adaptor plate

Hi, my s2 rst is efi converted and running an efi head at the moment but its quite tappy and have changed tappets but not much btr. i have a reconditiond,skimmed and flowed mfi head with brand new piper bp285t2 cam kit fitted to it. do i need anything else apart from adaptor plate to fit it also where can i get the plate. Also planning on putting in beige injectors and 195 chip and run around 14psi with it will i need anything else to do this. any advice appreciated. cheers.

I've a top quality ferriay adapter plate for sale. You also need longer inlet manifold studs. Have a look in rst parts section for my adapter.

I wouldn't mess around with those adaptor plates.

Why don't you take the Cam and the tappets and put them into your EFI head?

thot about it but the mfi head has been reconditioned and is clean as. whats wrong with using adapter plates

The spray pattern of the injectors is designed to place the fuel into the gap between valve and valve seat. When you move the injectors away from the valve, they will spray the fuel onto the inlet port walls. So you'll waste fuel, power and the engine will not run as smooth as it should, especially in low revs.

You should always change the cam and Tappets at the same time

Whilst in theory this is correct, in practise on a CVH it makes no difference at all.

cheers for replys. so there is nothing else needed to fit mfi head apart from the adaptor plate?

longer studs matey, your throttle body will be sat slightly further away from the charge pipe.
