FAO people with rear disc conversions
How you use push the cylinder back into the caliper on the rear discs? (2WD cossie)
One of my calipers was making an awful rubbing noise so i took it off the hub (guessed siezed caliper) and carefully pumped out the cylinder as far as i dared to clean it (so it didnt pop out and leak fluid), but it wouldnt push back in, even with a huge pair of stilsons
It seems to turn easily in the caliper though and by turning it clockwise its starting to receed into the caliper, so should I be winding it in or pushing it in?
Need to get the car back on the road for work tomorrow
HELP

Cheers guys, i managed to screw it back in with a balljoint splitter (prongs fitted perfect in the slots), think im gonna have to invest in a proper piston retractor though
What i dont get is when you pump the pedal it pushes straight out without turning or anything, so why does it have to be screwed back in?

You silly twat
The piston is on a threaded shaft, its to do with auto adjustment on the handbrake side, so as the pads wear the piston auto adjusts, so the handbrake travel doesn't increase
