Hi there can any one help?got a mk3 cab with an s2 turbo motor and s2 gearing with the lsd its punching out 274lbft and basically it chews boxes.i no the final drive ratio is 3.82:1of a standard rst (17 teeth on the pinion 65 teeth on crown wheel)so a ratio of say 3.67 or 3:44 which is not a big diff,can a 17 toothed pinion shaft b used or does the crown wheel need to be changed?or not?cos im guna use a late ib5 mainshaft wen ive modded the casing but the ratio of the fixed pinion shaft on the ib5 is slight different to the rst.Does this make sense?cheers

 

To change the final drive ratio, you will need to change the crown wheel and the 2nd shaft together.



you can get 3.58 and 3.33 final drive in BC box.
