Hi there can any one help?got a mk3 cab with an s2 turbo motor and s2 gearing with the lsd its punching out 274lbft and basically it chews boxes.i no the final drive ratio is 3.82:1of a standard rst (17 teeth on the pinion 65 teeth on crown wheel)so a ratio of say 3.67 or 3:44 which is not a big diff,can a 17 toothed pinion shaft b used or does the crown wheel need to be changed?or not?cos im guna use a late ib5 mainshaft wen ive modded the casing but the ratio of the fixed pinion shaft on the ib5 is slight different to the rst.Does this make sense?cheers
