How much would this set up roughly cost & will i need to upgrade the servo at all or is it just a case of change the calipers, discs & pads & away you go?

Black diamond drilled and grooved discs with EBC greenstuff pads!

Everytime for cheap as chips upgrade.

Oh and some dot 5 brake fluid and goodridge lines.

Try that one

ST170 stuff doesnt go behind standard wheels - need 16's for a start.

Would recommend some 2wd discs 288mm (as oppossed to 260mm - S2) and 4x4 Cossie calipers some half decent pads and a full brake fluid change.

Should get the whole lot for a few hundred quid and it all fits behind standard wheels.

Really good upgrade this.

Just get some braackets which move the std calipers out, and fit 2wd cossie discs. Cheap and very effective. Don't goto the 4by calipers, they don''t give any benefit. And stay away from EBC pads!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty sure you can use S2 calipers with Cos discs. Think they need slight mod, but the only other cost there is the Cos discs.

It's either Christian & Beccy or Tony Turbo who has this I believe (or has had it before).

Bit rubbish really aren't I ??

The easiest way to use the 2wd Cossie discs (283mm x 58mm) with S2 Turbo (260mm)calipers is to buy the adapter kit from Hi-Spec for about £50.

You will need an M10 (I think it is) tap to thread one of the holes. You also need to take 2mm off the edge of the caliper carrier bracket (where the disc runs in) to allow for clearance when the disc gets hot and expands. Other than that, nice and easy job and all parts in future are available off the shelf.

My old XR3i used to run these and would stop from 30mph in a car length and gave brilliant progressive braking, with no snatching or noticable fade. This conversion also fits behind standard wheels.

Some half decent pads is all you need if you already have S2 calipers.

sometimes the ST170 brake conversions can be overpriced. you can use mk3 mondeo front brake calipers/carriers instead which are the same, but the mondeo disks are 5-stud so use ST170 disks and pads (or fiesta ST which are the same)

on my supercharged mk1 mondy, i used this setup with the drilled/grooved disks from ebay seller mtec100 which are £70 a pair, with EBC greenstuff pads and goodridge hoses. the stopping power is fantastic, for not alot of dosh.
